Former CIA Chief Woolsey to Represent McCain at GOP Rally

PAWLEYS ISLAND-- Jim Jerow, president of the Waccamaw Neck Republican Club announced today that James Woolsey, former Director of Central Intelligence and head of the Central Intelligence Agency will represent U.S. Senator John McCain at the upcoming sold-out Grand Strand Presidential Primary Rally this Wednesday at Litchfield Beach.

"We are pleased that Senator McCain will be represented by James Woolsey at our rally. He is a true expert on national security issues and we look forward to hearing from him," Jerow said.

In addition to being Director of the CIA from 1993 to 1995, Woolsey also served as Under Secretary of the Navy, General Counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Armed Services, and Ambassador to the Negotiation on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe.

Presented just three days before the all important South Carolina GOP primary, the rally is a final opportunity for presidential candidates to sway state voters. All of the Republican presidential candidates on the state primary ballot or their surrogates have been invited to speak at the event.

Sponsored by both the South Strand and Waccamaw Neck Republican Clubs, the rally will be held at the Litchfield Beach and Golf Resort's Tara Theater located at 14276 Highway 17, Pawleys Island, starting at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.
